Some seats for the candidates belonging to SC/ ST categories are available for admission in the following programmes of studies:

( SC:1), MA/M.Sc. in Mathematics (SC:1), MA in Cultural Studies (SC:6, ST: 1), MA in Sociology ( SC: 1), M. Tech. in Polymer Sc (SC:1, ST:1), M.Sc. in Chemical Sciences (ST:1), Integrated M.Tech. in Food Engineering and Technology (SC:2), M.Sc. in Environmental Science (SC:1, ST:2), PG Diploma in Tourism Management (SC:3, ST:2), PG Diploma in Mobile and Multimedia Communication (SC:2, ST:1), PG Diploma in Translation( Hindi) (SC:3, ST:2), Certificate in Chinese (SC:6, ST:3) (figures in parentheses indicate number of vacancies).
Prospectus along with application forms can be obtained from the office of the undersigned on payment of Rs 250/- only in cash to the University Cash Counter during office hours from 9.00 a.m. to 1.00 p.m. or downloaded from the University website. The downloaded application form will have to be submitted along with a bank draft of Rs 250/- drawn in favour of the Registrar, Tezpur University payable at Tezpur. Intending candidates fulfilling the eligibility criteria may apply in the prescribed format. Such candidates may report to the concerned Head of the Department at 9.30 a.m. on 18th August, 2011 for the Entrance Test. They should bring with them the prescribed filled-in applications, original mark sheets, certificates of all examinations, caste certificate, character certificate from the institution last attended, affidavits with regard to non indulgence in ragging by the candidate and by his/ her parent/ guardian on non judicial stamp paper (formats are available in the prospectus). The candidates are also required to bring attested copies of all the documents and requisite amount of fees for admission. Selected candidates will be admitted on the same day. No separate call letter will be sent for the entrance test and admission.
