The Global Citizenship Programme for Young Leaders
University of Delhi and University of Melbourne
The Global Citizenship Programme for Young Leaders will engage talented
students with the opportunities and challenges of Global Citizenship through a
dedicated programme by the Australia India Institute.
Major Features:
The Programme will explore the varied dimensions of what it means to be a global citizen in the 21st century including:
The nature of the global economy
Multiculturalism
Human rights and ethics
Traditional cultures
Climate change and environmental challenges
Urbanization
Global health
Superpower relations
The changing role of global security and
Cross cultural communication
Gandhi and contemporary India
Selection Criteria
Ten(10) students would be shortlisted by the University out of the names received from the colleges on the following criteria of weightage
(i) Academic performance in the University examination - 40%
(ii) Co-curricular activities - 10%
(iii) Statement of purpose (200 words)-20%
(iv) Interview - 30%
Last date for receiving applications at the Principal’s office 16-08-2011
