Recognition of Dental Degree Awarded by PU
As per the notification received from the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Govt of India, dated 6.5.2011, the degree of Bachelor of Dental Surgery offered by the Dr Harvansh Singh Judge Institute of Dental Sciences, Panjab University stands recognized ‘on or after 19.6.2010.’
The Ministry, in consultation with the Dental Council of India (DCI), has made the necessary amendments/insertions in Part-I of the Schedule to the Dentists Act, 1948 (16 of 1948) pertaining to recognition of dental degrees awarded by Panjab University, Chandigarh.
Copies of the notification have been marked to the Secretary, DCI; Secretary and Director, Dept of Medical Education and Research, Chandigarh Administration; and all the States/Union Territories.
