Admission notification: M.Sc in Bioinformatics and Biotechnology
IGNOU, in collaboration with the Institute of Bioinformatics and Applied Biotechnology (IBAB), announces admission to the M.Sc programme in Bioinformatics and Biotechnology.
The regular, face-to-face programme will be held at the IBAB campus in Bengaluru. Students with a Bachelor’s degree in any branch of science or technology are eligible to apply.
IBAB is a ‘Centre of Excellence’ in research and training in bioinformatics - Department of Information Technology, Government of India.
The programme aims at providing competence in both biotechnology and computational biology/bioinformatics by providing training in the areas of cell and molecular biology, computer science, statistics, bioinformatics, etc.
Application forms are available for students till April 14, 2011 at IBAB campus.
Selection will be done on the basis of an online test, to be held from May 2-6, followed by a personal interview at Bengaluru from June 6-10. Classes will commence from July 29.
