The admission form and prospectus for M.B.A. (Distance Education on continuing mode) can be downloaded from the DDCE Website, www.sambalpuruniversityddce.com or from the office of DDCE on working days during the office hours.

Processing Fees:

1. Rs.200/ in the form of Bank Draft in favour of DDCE, Sambalpur University payable at SBI, Jyoti Vihar ( Code No. 6672) in case of downloaded Application Form

2. Rs. 250/ in the form of Bank Draft in favour of DDCE, Sambalpur University payable at SBI, Jyoti Vihar ( Code No. 6672) in case of Application Form procured from the Office of DDCE.

Submission of Application Form:

Application form duly filled in along with required documents and fees is to be submitted to DDCE, Sambalpur University. Incomplete application form will be summarily rejected. Fees once deposited shall l not be refunded at any cost.

Submission of application form for admission with fine of Rs. 100/- November 15, 2010

Applications are invited from intending candidates for Ph.D./D.Sc./D.Litt registration in various subjects under North Orissa University. Application henceforth will be invited throughout the year.

Approved subjects

Botany, Chemistry, Commerce & Management, Computer Science & Information Technology, Economics, Education, English, Geology, History, Law, Life Science, Oriya, Philosophy, Psychology, Physics, Political Science, Sanskrit and Zoology.

Eligibility: Master’s Degree in the relevant subject from any recognized University with at least 48% of marks or equivalent grade. A candidate can also be eligible for Ph. D. registration in any allied subject other than his or her subjects at the Master level provided that he/she produces evidence of original published research work or continuing study interest in the field and this is to be decided by the Subject Research Committee.

General Instructions: A candidate desirous of carrying out research for Ph.D. under North Orissa University shall apply in the prescribed format (Appendix-I) available in the office of the Controller of Examinations on payment of Rs. 500/- by hand or by sending a Bank Draft of Rs.550/- to be drawn in favour of Comptroller of Finance, North Orissa University payable at any nationalized Bank at Baripada by post. Complete application form is to be submitted to the office of the Controller of Examinations.

Basic Electrical Engineering

As per the recommendation of Board of Studies, the syllabus of Basic Electrical Engineering of 1st year B.Tech has been revised for the students taking admission with effect from 2010-11 academic session.

Module I (10 Hours)

Fundamentals of Electric Circuits

Charge, current, KCL, Voltage and KVL, Electric Power and sign conventions, circuit elements and their characteristics, Resistance and Ohm’s Law
Practical voltage and current sources, Measuring devices

Resistive Network Analysis

Node voltage analysis, Mesh current analysis, node and mesh current analysis with controlled sources, principle of superposition, maximum power transfer
