Admission Notice to MBA (Banking & Finance) Programme – July 2010 IGNOU-IIBF Collaboration Programme

The MBA (Banking & Finance) Programme, specifically designed for Bankers, is offered through countrywide network of Study Centres of IGNOU. Developed collaboratively by School of Management Studies, IGNOU and the Indian Institute of Banking & Finance (IIBF), Mumbai, the Programme uses standard IGNOU multi-media design and technology aided delivery systems. The University announces admissions to the MBA (Banking & Finance) Programme for the session starting from July, 2010.

Eligibility: In order to seek admission to this Programme, a candidate should: (a) be a graduate of a recognized University, (b) have passed the CAIIB examinations of the Indian Institute of Banking & Finance, Mumbai and awarded the requisite qualification/credentials thereof by the Institute, and (c) have been working in the Banking or Financial Service Sector for a period of at least two years.

‘Student Handbook & Prospectus 2010’ can be obtained from Registrar, Student Registration Division, IGNOU, Maidan Garhi, New Delhi – 110 068 or from any of the IGNOU Regional Centres whose addresses are listed in the website, in person on payment of Rs.500/- (Rupees Five Hundred only) in cash or through post by sending an IPO/Demand Draft of Rs.550/- (Rupees Five Hundred Fifty only) drawn in favour of ‘IGNOU’ payable at the city from where the Prospectus is requested. Please write your name and address on the reverse of the DD/IPO and send your request to the concerned IGNOU office. The Application can also be downloaded from IGNOU website at http//: www.ignou.ac.in and submitted along with a DD/IPO for Rs.500/-, in addition to the Programme fee.

Eligibility

M.Sc. Mathematics Graduate with concerned subject and minimum 50% marks in aggregate.

M.Sc. Physics Graduate with concerned subject and minimum 50% marks in aggregate.

M.Sc. Chemistry Graduate with concerned subject and minimum 50% marks in aggregate.

M.Sc. (Microbiology): B.Sc. in Biology group (Chemistry, Botany, Zoology), B.Sc. in Industrial Microbiology group (Chemistry, Botany, Industrial Microbiology/ Chemistry, Zoology, Industrial Microbiology) or B.Sc. in Microbiology group, with minimum 50% marks. Note : Candidate having groups/subjects other than the above at B.Sc. need not apply.

M.Sc. (Environmental Science): B.Sc./ B.Sc. (Agriculture) with minimum 50% marks.

M.C.A.: Graduate with minimum 50% marks and Mathematics as main subject at the Intermediate (10+2) level.

B. P. Ed.: Graduate with minimum 50% marks.

or

Graduate with minimum 45% marks along with Physical Education as an elective subject and certificate of participation in National/all India Inter-University/Inter-University sports competitions recognised by A.I.U. / I.O.A.

or

In service Physical Education Teacher/Coach who has secured minimum 45% marks in graduation.

B.Pharm. 1st year: Intermediate (10+2) or equivalent examination passed from a recognised Board/University with 45% Marks in aggregate with Chemistry, Physics and one of the followings as compulsory subject: Mathematics/Biology/Biotechnology/Computer Science

B.Pharm. 2nd year (Direct admission through lateral entry): D.Pharm. with 45% marks in aggregate. D.Pharm. (Ayurved) are not eligible for admission. All the candidates who fulfill eligibility shall be called for entrance test. Admission shall be given in order of the merit of entrance test as per the availability of the seats in different reserved categories. For B.P.Ed. merit list shall be prepared on the basis of marks obtained in entrance test and physical fitness, sports skill test & interview.

How to Apply:

Application form and Information Brochure for entrance examination can be obtained from the office of Registrar, Gurukula Kangri Vishwavidyalaya, Haridwar by paying Rs. 500/- in cash or by sending a demand draft of Rs. 550/- to the Registrar, Gurukula Kangri Vishwavidyalaya, Haridwar. The demand draft should be in favour of "Registrar, Gurukula Kangri Vishwavidyalaya'' payable at Haridwar.

The candidates appearing in the final year of qualifying examination (except Sponsored/NRI Sponsored candidates) are also eligible to apply. Such candidates will have to submit compulsorily their final passing result of qualifying examination upto 15 October 2010.

Filled in application form for entrance examination may be submitted to the office of Registrar, Gurukula Kangri Vishwavidyalaya, Haridwar.
