Applications are invited in the prescribed form for admission to MBBS Course commencing on 1st August, 2010. Entrance Examination will be held on 01.06.2010 (Tuseday). Application forms, complete in all respects, must reach AIIMS, New Delhi latest by 5.00 P.M. on 25.03.2010

Eligibility Criteria:
(i) Candidates who have passed 12th class examination under 10+2 system or an equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English securing a minimum of 60% marks (50% in case of Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe candidates) aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English or whose results of Class-XII are likely to be declared by 7th July, 2010 are eligible to apply. (ii) The candidate should have attained the age of 17 (seventeen) years as on 31st December, 2010. The Prospectus-cum-Application Form costing Rs. 1000/- (Rs.800/- in case of SC/ST candidates) inclusive of examination fee can be obtained in the following manner

The candidate can pay the application fee through a credit card/debit card or through challan of State Bank of India. Transaction Processing Fee at the following rates will be payable to the Bank (Only for On-line Applications)

1 Amex Credit Card, Diners Credit Card 4% of the Transaction amount
2 Visa & MasterCard Credit/Debit Cards and Net Banking 2.5% of the Transaction amount
3 On Cash through Challan at any Branch of State Bank of India Rs.25/- (or as applicable )

OR

B) Off-line :
The Prospectus-cum-Application Form can also be obtained by Speed Post/Registered Post by sending a written request with an account payee Bank Demand Draft of Rs.1050/- (Rs.850/- for SC/ST candidates) in favour of ACCOUNTS OFFICER (EXAMS), AIIMS payable at New Delhi. The Bank Draft should be valid up to July/August 2010. The name of the course applied for must be written on reverse of the Demand Draft alongwith candidate’s name. The request must reach the Assistant Controller of Examinations, All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Ansari Nagar, New Delhi – 110 608 on or before 15.03.2010. Money Order/Cheque/Postal Order/Cash or any other form of payment will NOT be accepted for postal sale. The words “REQUEST FOR APPLICATION FORM FOR MBBS ENTRANCE EXAMINATION 2010” should be written on the envelope containing request for application form, and also on top of the request letter. The address at which Application Form is required should be written clearly in CAPITAL LETTERS with PIN code. AIIMS will not be responsible for delay in/non-receipt of Application Form caused by illegible or incomplete address.

Logo and Wordmark Design Contest

Logo and Wordmark Design Contest

Based on the description of the institute given below, do the following:

1. Design a logo. The height and width of the logo should be approximately equal. The logo should look nice in black & white. The logo should be clearly recognizable in small sizes such as icon.

2. Create an interesting typographical representation (font, color and style) of IIIT Delhi that can be used on letter heads and notice boards. It is known as wordmark.

These two things together will form graphic identity of the Institute. The logo should capture the mission of our Institute and establish graphic identity.

The contest is open to all (students as well as professionals) who are interested in using their creativity and imagination.

The last day for submitting the designs are 15 April 2010.

A participant can send more than one entries.

You may use a software for designing the logo and for designing the wordmark.

The design must be submitted in high quality editable images (such as svg, ai, psd formats) if a software has been used and in original if hand made. These will become property of IIIT Delhi. You must declare the software used if you have used one. You must also provide a brief write up of half a page describing your design. The designs once submitted become property of IIITD

The winner will be given a certificate and a cash prize of Rs. 20,000 and two runner ups will be given Rs. 10,000 each.

Announcement for admission


The Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology Delhi (IIITD) is an autonomous Institution with a State University status, created by an Act of Delhi Government (The IIIT Delhi Act, 2007). The mission of IIIT Delhi is to be a global centre of excellence in Information Technology education, training and research. IIITD looks forward to admitting in 2010 a limited number of committed and hard working students in its B.Tech. (IT) program. (Please read and reflect upon the small note “Is IT for you?” posted on the site).

Applications for admission will open on May 26, 2010, after CBSE results are out (and AIEEE and JEE results are also out). The last date of receipt of print out of completed form, along with payment, is June 10, 2010. So prospective applicants are advised to be ready from before. The brochure will also be available from the end of March only from this site. Students can download it free of cost.

Total number of seats is 100, out of which 85 are reserved for Delhi candidates (those who have done their class XII from Delhi), and 15 for outside Delhi. Within these there are reservations, as per Delhi Government guidelines, for SC/ST, PH, etc

Eligibility criteria for appearing in IIITD entrance test. To appear in the entrance test of IIITD the total PCM marks in Class XII board should be greater than or equal to 80%. There will be a 10% relaxation for SC/ST candidates, and 5% for PH and Defense. Further details will be available later.

For applying, an applicant will be required to enter the information online (including bank draft number), print the form, attach a draft, and then mail it. So, have a bank draft ready for Rs 500, payable to “IIIT Delhi”, before filling the form online, and ensure that you have a printer available. This will be the only way to apply (i.e. there will not be any forms available from any bank/office/etc.).

Candidates from outside Delhi (those who have done their class XII from outside Delhi) are eligible to apply for outside-Delhi seats. Admission for these seats will be done on the basis of AIEEE rank, and these candidates need not appear for the entrance test. However, they will have to fill an application form (online) during May 26 to June 10, 2010 like all other candidates, as described above.

The entrance test is scheduled for June 20, 2010 in Delhi. It will be an aptitude test, that will test comprehension, quantitative thinking, and logical thinking. Consequently, there is no defined syllabus for the test.

Counseling will be held on July 9, 2010.

Summer Research Fellowship Programme 2010, IIT Delhi

SUMMER RESEARCH FELLOWSHIP PROGRAMME AT IIT DELHI

IIT Delhi has instituted a prestigious summer research fellowship programme for providing an opportunity to exceptionally good undergraduate students of NITs, Delhi College of Engg., NSIT and BITS-Pilani for Top ten of the classes to execute an innovative research and development project under the guidance of an IIT Delhi faculty. The fellow will register at IIT Delhi as a casual student; she/he will not be required to pay institute registration fees.

About the Fellowship

Duration The Fellowship work can be done in a period of 8-12 weeks which can be availed of during at most two visits.

Support The fellowship will cover the following:

(a) cost of travel in the country, to and from IIT Delhi;
(b) stay at IIT Delhi during the visit(s), including boarding and lodging in the Institute hostels; and
(c) a fellowship of Rs. 500/- per week.

The fellow will have to pay the insurance charges.

Eligibility Any undergraduate student, who has completed at least 2 years of study towards an engineering degree, is amongst top ten positions in her/his respective programme will be eligible to apply for this fellowship. Students who will be completing this requirement by May 2010 are also eligible

Application
The application form should be downloaded from IIT Delhi website. The applicant must contact IIT Delhi faculty in whose area she/he wishes to execute research and get faculty member’s concurrence in writing on the form. She/he should submit the following:

(a) Application form duly recommended by IITD faculty member
(b) Resume
(c) One consolidated grade card; and rank in class.
(d) No Objection Certificate from the parent institution stating the starting and ending dates for carrying out full time research work at IIT Delhi under the fellowship programme.
(e) One photograph (Passport size), pasted on the application form.
(f) One reference letter in a sealed envelope.

Admissions material should be sent to the Institute for Housing and Urban Development Studies (IHS), P.O. Box 1935, 3000 BX Rotterdam, the Netherlands. Please inform us promptly of any change of your address to ensure that you can be contacted throughout the admission process.

The following documents are required for your application:

1. Completed application form with two passport photographs (if possible). You are urged to apply as early as possible.

2. Transcripts and diplomas
Certified copies of diplomas and degrees from colleges or universities (a certified translation is required, if these diplomas are in a language other than English, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, German, or Dutch).

The candidate must also send records showing courses and grades of each college or university attended. These official transcripts may be enclosed with the application form or sent directly to the Admissions Office by the registrar of the college or university. Since evaluation systems tend to vary, accompanying explanations (e.g. grade scales used) would be appreciated.

3. Language Test
Applicants who did not complete a Bachelors degree in English must show certificates with relevant test results (such as TOEFL min. 550/TOEFL computer-based min. 213/ TOEFL internet based 79, IELTS min.6.0 (no IELTS subtest <5.5). style="font-weight: bold;">

4. Employer’s statement for post-experienced
If you wish to apply for a NFP Fellowship, you should include a written statement in which your employer grants you permission to follow the course in question and is vouchsafing your continued employment upon return to your country.

5. Neso Certificate for Chinese students

Eligibility and Admission Criteria for Applicants

• have a minimum academic qualification of 10+2 or its equivalent with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry.
• should appear in AIEEE 2010 examination being conducted by CBSE on 25th April, 2010.
• submit a separate application to School of Petroleum Technology in the prescribed Application Form.
