Admission Notice to the B.Ed. Course (2010-2011)
Applications from graduate (preferable with Honours and/or Master degree) candidates in a (10+2+3) pattern (except deputed category) in prescribed forms obtainable from the University Sales Counter on payment of Rs.50/- are invited for the B.Ed. Course of the academic session 2010-2011. Applications, both deputed and fresher, must have at least 50% marks (SC and ST candidates should have a minimum of 40%) in Bachelors’ Degree and/or in the Masters’ degree Examination of Calcutta University or any other recognised University with Home Science as one of the Method Subjects. Two school subjects should include: 1. Food and Nutrition, 2. Home Management, 3. English, 4. Bengali, 5. Education, 6. Work Education, 7. History at the graduation and/or Master Degree level. Applications complete in all respects along with attested copies of certificate and testimonials must be submitted to the office of the Viharilal College of Education, 20E, Judges Court Road, Alipore, Kolkata-700027 from 12-04-10 to 27-04-10 on all working days.
Selection will be made strictly as per University norms and names of the selected candidates will be walled up in the Notice Board duly. No individual intimation will be given, Scheduled Caste/ Scheduled Tribe applicants from the other states will not get the reservation facilities of S.C./S.T. Names of the selected candidates who will fail to report on the date of commencement of classes and who will remain absent continuously for fifteen days without prior information acceptable to the University will be automatically struck off the rolls.
