ADMISSION NOTICE 2010-11
A competitive All India Entrance Examination/ Interview will be held for admission to the following programme on the dates mentioned against each course.
(A) Ph.D. in Dairying Programme (other than in-service candidates)
Date of Entrance Test : 19.6.2010
Examination Centres : NDRI, Karnal (Haryana) SRS, of NDRI, Bangalore (Karnataka) ERS of NDRI, Kalyani (West Bengal)
Disciplines : Dairy Microbiology, Dairy Chemistry, Dairy Technology, Dairy Engineering, Animal Biochemistry, Animal Biotechnology, Animal Genetics & Breeding, Livestock Production & Management, Animal Nutrition, Animal Physiology, Dairy Economics and Dairy Extension.
Eligibility : Master’s degree in relevant area with 60 percent marks (55 percent marks for SC/ST candidates) or equivalent GPA
(B) Ph.D. and Master in Dairying programme (For in-service candidates)
Date of Interview : 21.6.2010
Venue : NDRI, Karnal (Haryana)
Disciplines : Same as for Ph.D. programme (Open stream)
Eligibility : In-service candidates in permanent employment with Central/State Government and Universities with three years continuous service in the relevant field of specialisation having Master’s degree for Ph.D. and Bachelor’s degree for Master’s Degree programmes in the relevant area with 60 percent marks (55 per cent marks for SC/ST candidates) or equivalent GPA. The candidates must be fully sponsored by the employer.
How to Apply
I. Information Bulletin and Application Form can be obtained by post from 1.4.2010 to 10.5.2010 from the Registrar, National Dairy Research Institute, Karnal-132001 (Haryana) by submitting a bank draft of Rs. 1200/- drawn in favour of “ICAR UNIT, NDRI, KARNAL” payable at Karnal. No cheque/ postal order/ money order is acceptable. While making request for supply of information bulletin the following information should be given:
1. Name (in capital letters)
2. Full Postal address (with PIN code), email and mobile/other phone numbers.
3. Course in which candidate seeking admission.
4. Details of Bank Draft.
II. The application form and Information Bulletin can also be purchased from Counter of Cashier, NDRI, Karnal, by making cash payment of Rs. 1200/-. Last date for sale at the cash counter is 13.05.2010.
III. The application form and information bulletin can also be downloaded from NDRI Website: http://www.ndri.res.in. The completed form may be submitted to the Registrar, Deemed University, NDRI, Karnal-132001 along with bank draft of Rs.1200/-. The bank draft must be drawn in favour of “ICAR Unit, NDRI, Karnal” payable at Karnal.
