Nomination of Indian scientists to visit abroad under International Collaboration / Bilateral Exchange Programme during 2010-2011.
On the recommendations of the Inter-Academy Exchange Committee, the Academy has short-listed the name of 67 Indian Scientists (List placed at APPENDIX-I) to visit abroad to under International Collaboration/Bilateral Exchange Programme during 2010-2011 with 50% travel support. The local hospitality and internal travel will be borne by the host Academy/Organization in the visiting country as per the norms. With the objective to develop long term scientific linkages among Indian and Foreign Scientists, the Scientists nominated under the Exchange Programme are expected to develop Joint Research Project(s) with their counterpart host abroad in consonant with the regular ongoing research programme in the Department/Institution.
The selected Scientists may send to the Academy (INSA) the following documents duly completed through proper channel along with their consent on the offer (one copy of the documents by post and one copy through E-mail: intacademy@insa.nic.in):
1. Form of Proposal (APPENDIX-II)
2. Certificate duly signed by the Head of the Organisation/Institute (APPENDIX-III)
3. Outline of the research proposal to be initiated with the host scientist abroad.
According to the guidelines of the Academy, the Scientists considered for nomination under the programme are expected to undertake the visit within the financial year up to 31st March 2011 and it is subject to the acceptance by the host Academy /Organisation. In the absence of the acceptance to this offer and the above documents by 31st October 2010, it will be presumed that the Scientist is not interested in availing the offer and the nomination will be automatically stand cancelled.
In case the visit is planned prior to June 2010, the above papers may be sent immediately.
