Admission 2009 to M. Sc. Biotechnology

Dibrugarh University alongwith Regional Medical Research Centre (ICMR), Lahoal, Dibrugarh had been jointly conducting a Master of Science (M.Sc.) course in Biotechnology from the Session 2005-2006. The course consists of 4 (four) semesters with a total duration of 2 (two) years.

Eligibility criteria for admission:

a. Candidates having Bachelor degree of any recognised University/Institution in Biological Sciences/Agricultural Sciences/Veterinary Sciences/Pharmaceutical Sciences/Medical Sciences with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and having chemistry as one of the optional subjects/ or chemistry paper (s) with equivalent weightage at the undergraduate level are eligible to apply for the course.

b.Candidates appearing/due to appear in the final year of their respective qualifying examinations in April/May 2009 are also eligible to apply but their eligibility for admission shall be considered only when they obtain the minimum qualifying marks and produce original marksheet of the final year at the time of admission.

Admission to B. Tech./ B. Arch Programmes in National Institutes of Technology (NITs) and other Institutions including Tezpur University on the basis of AIEEE 2009 through Central Counselling Board (CCB).

(These are not applicable to local counselling of Tezpur University for the seats reserved for North-East in B. Tech programme, which is scheduled on 15 and 16 July 2009. For detail see TU Prospectus)

1. The candidates can Register, Exercise their choices and Lock them ONLINE, using internet from places of their convenience. Candidates can give as many number of choices as they want.

2. Arrangements have been made at all the participating institutions to provide help and guidance.

3. An indicative seat allotment (Mock counseling) will be shown at regular intervals to facilitate the selection of the most appropriate discipline, institution and branch.

4. The candidates who got seat allotment have to report at any one of the Admission Centers (AC) for taking provisional admission along with Original Documents and an initial fee of Rs. 25,000/- in the form of DDs for Rs. 24,000/- and Rs. 1000/- separately drawn in the name of "Chairman, CCB- 2009" payable at "Warangal" from any Nationalised Bank.

5. Candidates who took provisional admission against an allotted seat have an option to give their willingness to consider their higher preferred choices against vacant seats in the subsequent rounds.

6. The fourth round of allotment is open round in which all the State quota vacant seats will be converted to All India seats.

7. Candidates can cancel their provisional admission at any stage of the admission process and claim refund according to refund rules.
