Admission Notification 2010-11
Applications are invited from the registered societies/public trust/institutions which come under the jurisdiction of Kuvempu University (Chikmagalur and Shimoga Districts), during the academic year 2010-11. They shall be financially viable to run the new Colleges without State Government grant. The existing Colleges can apply for new courses, optional subjects, languages and variation of intake etc. Application for new Colleges will not be entertained from individuals.
Sanction of affiliation however be subject to obtaining the prior approval of A.I.C.T.E/N.C.T.E. or such other authorities for professional courses like Education/Physical Education/Management courses.
Degree/Education/Physical Education Colleges which are already having affiliation are required to apply for continuation/permanent/permanent renewal/new languages/optional subjects and also intake variation etc.
Applications may be obtained from the office of the Director, College Development Council, Kuvempu University, Jnana Sahyadri, Shankaraghatta-577 451, Shimoga District by submitting a requisition and paying the prescribed application fee of Rs.1000-00 (Rupees One Thousand Only) through electronic transfer to Affiliation Account No.54023035811, SBM, B.R.Project. Challen can be downloaded from the University website.
All Government Colleges are also instructed to submit the application for affiliation. Details of affiliation fees, other instructions and informations will be furnished along with the application.
Last date for submission of duly filled application without penal fee will be on 15-10-2009 (5-00 p.m.) and with a panel fee of Rs.9,735-00 (Rupees Nine Thousand and Seven Hundred Thirty Five only) will be up to 05-00 p.m. on 31-10-2009. In exceptional cases application can be obtained after 31-10-2009 by paying late fee at the rate of Rs.9,735-00 (Rupees Nine Thousand and Seven Hundreden Thirty Five only) for every fortnight. 31-01-2010 shall be the last date for such late applications. But after January 2010 application will not be issued or accepted at any cost. The applications should be sent to the Office of the College Development Council, either personally or by registered post. However, the University shall not be held responsible for any postal delay.
Permanently affiliated Colleges, having temporary affiliation to languages/optional subjects/ degrees, should also apply for the continuation of the above. Colleges desiring to apply for permanent affiliations, should apply separately for the permanent/Renewal of Permanent Affiliation and continuation of affiliation, along with the prescribed fees.
Those who have already applied, for permanent affiliation during 2009-2010 and are awaiting orders from the Govt./University should also apply for the continuation of affiliation for the academic year 2010-11.
A college which is having permanent affiliation can apply for P.G.Courses.
A College which is affiliated continuously, for a period of not less than five years and having accredited at least C++ by NAAC, can apply for permanent affiliation. Penal fee will be imposed, for the applications received after the last date. The languages, optional, subjects and degree courses, other than those mentioned in the application, will not be considered under any circumstances either at the time of LIC visit or at a later date. There is 50% concision in affiliation and University development fees for SC/ST management Colleges, but it doesn’t apply for service fees and penalty fees.
