The minimum academic qualification for admission through AIEEE 2010 is a pass in the final examination of 10+2 (Class XII) or its equivalent referred to as the qualifying examination

The college students nowadays are thought to be devoid of any idealism, smugly satisfied in their own make-believe world. Engineering, which attracts some of the brightest minds of our country, remains woefully short in fulfilling the responsibility towards the community. National Institute of Technology, Kurukshetra (an ‘Institution of National Importance’) is a premier technical institute in Haryana. For more than forty years, it has serviced the nation with utmost sincerity.

Literati, the flagship technical event of NIT Kurukshetra, and one of the biggest of its kind in north India, this time scheduled for 28-31 January 2010, comes up with new initiatives which are to be implemented especially by keeping in mind the society, and not just the budding engineers of this time. In tune with the technological demand of our times, Literati 2009 kept its theme as ‘Let’s Go Green’, with emphasis on renewable energy and its applications in daily life. This time, Literati 2010, a 4 day magnum opus, which sees a huge participation every year from across the country, plans to implement, apart from as many as 50 technical events, these initiatives: The NIT Kurukshetra Director’s trophy: a rolling trophy designed for students studying in schools in the Haryana and Delhi region, will feature quizzes and debates; and a chance for them to explore a technical institute like NIT. The Red Bike Concept: this would introduce a number of red cycles to be used exclusively in the campus, to make the campus as environment-friendly as possible, in its own unique way. The Energy Conservation Competition: students in different hostels would compete against each other for the award for the least energy consumption through the whole month of Literati.

The students believe that these initiatives are simple, energy-efficient and can be replicated across the country, and that environment conservation needs to be initiated from the grass root level. The youth needs to realise that they need to pick up the cudgels of social responsibility and act sincerely. Eligibility:

The Bachelors Degree or equivalent qualification obtained by the candidate must entail a minimum of three years of education after completing higher secondary schooling (10+2) or equivalent. Diploma holders cannot apply to this program unless they also possess a Bachelors degree.

Second, applicants need to have a minimum of two years experience in the IT industry as on June 1, 2010. Since the participants draw a significant portion of their education from the rich experience of peers, we strongly discourage candidates with less experience to apply to the program.

Admission Process


For the PGSEM batch starting 2010, applicants must mandatorily choose any one of the following three tests for admission to PGSEM:

Applicants may take the Common Admission Test (CAT) conducted jointly by the IIMs and indicate that they want to apply for the PGSEM in the CAT Application Form. The announcement for the test will be made around July-August 2009, and the test will be conducted over the last two weeks in November 2009. A separate application has to be submitted for PGSEM between December 19, 2009 - February 4, 2010 with the CAT score (Details are provided in the section "How To Apply").

Applicants may take the GMAT. Applicants who have already taken the test may attach a copy of their GMAT scores along with the application. Scores of GMAT taken after 1/1/2007 only are valid. Applicants who are going to take the test may have the score sent directly to the PGSEM Office. The GMAT Code for IIMB PGSEM is 3904. Separate application has to be submitted for PGSEM between December 19, 2009 - February 4, 2010 with the GMAT score (Details are provided in the section "How To Apply").

Eligibility Criteria in the qualifying examination:

CITIZENSHIP: Indian Nationals.

DATE OF BIRTH:
Only those whose date of birth falls on or before 31.12.93 are eligible to apply.

QUALIFICATIONS: Pass in 10+2, A Level, IB, American 12th grade or equivalent with pass in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English and a minimum of 55% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology subjects.

GENERAL CATEGORY:
Admissions are done on the basis of rank in an all India EPSI National Admission Test (ENAT 2010).
NOTE: Only candidates who have secured minimum of 50% marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry and Biology in ENAT 2010 will be considered for admissions to MBBS course.

FOREIGN/NRI CATEGORY: Admissions under this category are handled by a separate office.

Candidates can apply both under General and Foreign/NRI category. Change of category from Foreign/NRI to General after admission will not be entertained under any circumstances.

However it was felt that University Environment, culture and academic policies are a new exposure to the students. LAW EXAMINATION (for arrear candidates)(LAST CHANCE)

The application forms for December 2009 Examinations to appear for the B.L. Degree (3 & 5) year for arrear candidates can be had either in person or by post from the Principal, Coimbatore Law College from 02.12.09 by enclosing a self-addressed stamped envelope (28 cm x 13 cm) for Rs.10/- with a requisition specifying course, year of admission and Register number.

The arrear candidates shall send the duly filled-in applications directly to the Controller of Examinations, Bharathiar University along with necessary fees (RS. 200/- PER PAPER) after obtaining the signature of the Principal in the application. The fees shall be paid in the form of Demand Draft drawn in favor of “The Registrar, Bharathiar University” payable at Coimbatore.

IT IS INFORMED THAT THIS IS THE LAST CHANCE FOR THE ARREAR CANDIDATES AND NO FURTHER EXTENSION WILL BE GIVEN TO THEM AFTER THE DECEMBER 2009 EXAMINATIONS.
