Spot Admissions to B.Ed course for
'Other State Category' for the session 2008-09 against vacant seats in various Colleges of Medication under self - financing scheme recognized by NCTE and affiliated to H.P. University will be held on
14th November 2008 in the University Auditorium (Himachal Pradesh University, Summer Hall, Shimla) at 10.00 A.M for
265 seats of Medical Stream, 263 seats of Non Medical and 331 seats for Arts Stream. Desirous candidates can come and apply on the spot. Eligibility and merit position will be determined on the same day and candidates will be required to join the allotted college on the vary next day.
Eligibility For Admission B.Ed Course: The candidates who wish to take admission in B.ED regular course in any of the colleges should fulfill the following criteria.
(a) The applicant should possess a Bachelor's Degree (Medical, Non Medical, Arts or Commerce) with at least 45% marks (40% in case of SC,ST) from a recognized University established by law in India. Provided further that for the purpose of eligibility for admission to the course 0.50 or above shall be considered equal to 1%) as per (Notification No. 4-9/94 - HPU (Acad) dated 26.06.1995)
(b) The candidate should not be more than 26 years (i.e General Category boy candidates born on or after 01.07.1982) 28 years (General category, girl candidates born on after 01.07.1980), 29 years (SC and ST candidates boys and girls born or after 01.07.1979)
(c) The candidate should have the following Combination of subjects at the Graduation level:
(1) MEDICAL STREAM: B.Sc Pass Course with Zoology, Chemistry and any other Science subject Or
B.SC Pass course with Botany, Chemistry and other Science subject. Or
B.SC Honours in Zoology with Chemistry as subsidiary subject Or
B.Sc Honours in Botany with Chemistry as subsidiary subject Or
B.Sc Honours in Chemistry with Zoology or Botany as subsidiary subject.
(2) NON - MEDICAL STREAM: B.Sc Pas Course with Physics, Mathematics and any other science subject Or
B.Sc Pass Course with Chemistry, Mathematics and any other Science subject Or
B.Sc Honours in Physics with Mathematics as subsidiary subject Or
B.Sc Honours in Chemistry with Mathematics as subsidiary subject Or
B.Sc Honours in Mathematics with Physics or Chemistry as subsidiary subject.
ARTS STREAM:B.S pass Course with English, Hindi or Sanskrit and at least one of the following subject viz. History, Economics, Political Science, Geography, Public Administration, Sociology and Mathematics Or
B.A Honours in English, Hindi or Sanskrit with and of the following as subsidiary or additional subsidiary subject: History, Economics, Political Science, Geography, Public Administration; Sociology, Mathematics or BA Honours in History, Economics, Political Science, Geography, Public Administration, Sociology or Mathematics with any of the following as subsidiary or additional subsidiary subject: English, Hindi, Sanskrit
COMMERCE STREAM: B.Com / B.Com (Honours) with any one of the languages from Hindi, English or Sanskrit
The Basis of Admission: The admission to the course will be made on
14th November 2008 itself strictly on the basis of marks obtained in B.A/B.Sc/B.Com. Examination of any recognized University.
The eligibility of the candidates for admission will be checked on the spot at the time of counselling. Candidates must come prepared with tuition fee of Rs. 35,750/- Annual Charges and 10 per cent University Levy charges will be extra. The candidate must bring original certificates along with one set of attested copies of testimonials, viz Matriculation, +2, Graduation, Category Certificate and Domicile Certificate from the competent authority.
