Applications are invited for the admission to Part Time B.E. Programmes (4 years/8 semesters) for the academic session - 2008 starting from September-2008.

The Programmes are available in the following disciplines:

* Three years Diploma with first class or minimum 60% marks or CGPA of 6.5 (on 10 point scale). Both, in service engineers as well as non serving/fresh diploma holders are eligible to apply.

Reservation:
The reservation of seats will be as per Govt. of India guidelines at the time of admission.

How to apply:
The eligibility criteria and other details along with blank application forms can be obtained from the Deputy Registrar (Academics) either in person during the working hours or by sending a written request in a self addressed stamped (Rs.10/-) envelope superscribed 'Request for B.E. (Part Time) Application Form'. The application form can be down-loaded from the Institute Website www.nitj.ac.in also. Application form, duly filled, together with a crossed demand draft of Rs.500/- (Rs.250/- for SC/ST candidates) towards application cum registration fee drawn in favour of Director, Dr. B. R. Ambedkar National Institute of Technology, Jalandhar-144011 payable at Jalandhar should reach Deputy Registrar (Academics), Deputy Registrar (Academics), Dr B R Ambedkar National Institute of Technology, P.O. NIT Campus, Jalandhar 144 011, latest by August 08, 2008 (5 PM). No late application will be considered. In service candidates should forward their applications through proper channel.

For admission to these programmes, the selection of the candidates shall be made on the basis of percentage of marks in Diploma Exam., experience and interview. The personal interview (compulsory) will be conducted on 18.08.2008 in the Central Seminar Hall of the Institute. The selected candidates will be required to deposit the fee and other charges (for fee structure and other information pl. refer to institute website www.nitj.ac.in on the same day.

Post Graduate Programme in Forestry Management (PGDFM)
Fellow Programme in Management (FPM)

IIFM is a sectoral management school imparting excellent general management skills as well as managerial competence in the areas of forests, environment and development management. It has a sprawling green campus spread over 200 acres with state-of-the-art infrastructure and twenty-four hours internet connectivity in the hostels. It has a record of 100% campus placement. For the batch of 2006-08, the average salary was Rs. 7.2 lakhs and the highest annual package was of US $ 55,000 (overseas). Corporate social responsibility, climate change, carbon trading and global warming are some of the newer challenging career opportunities in these sectors.

IIFM announces admission to the following programmes:

1) Post Graduate Diploma in Forestry Management (PGDFM) is a Two-Year full time residential Programme approved by the Al India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). Admission to PGDFM programme is through CAT examination conducted by IIMs. IIFM will use the CAT score for short-listing of the candidates. IIMs have no role either in the selection process or in the conduct of the programme. The candidates should follow the CAT advertisement of IIMs for procurement of CAT 2008 Bulletin, closing date of which is 8th August 2008. The students have to apply separately for IIFM and the detailed advertisement shall appear in newspapers and on IIFM website subsequently in the coming months.

2) Fellow Program in Management (FPM) is a four year AICTE approved doctoral program open to postgraduates. It is designed to develop and equip students for career opportunities in Management education and research. One of the tracks for admission to the FPM programme is through CAT. CAT scores of CAT 2007 and 2008 will be valid for admission to the FPM programme 2009-2013. Candidates interested in admission to the FPM programme through CAT track should appear for CAT 2008 in the event that the applicant does not have CAT 2007 score. Information about other tracks for admission to FPM programme is available on IIFM website.
