Indra Gandhi national Open university (IGNOU) in collaboration with Goethe Institute Max Muller Bhawan propose to launch programmes in GERMAN Language for Beginners in Punjab. IGNOU requires academic counsellors with sound proficiency in spoken and written German. Both qualified teachers of German language and people with proficiency in spoken & written German send their resume within Ten Days.

IGNOU also has planning of launching JAPANESE, FRENCH and SPANISH programmes shortly. People proficient in these languages may also submit their Resume. theses programmes will be offered with locally identified Academic Programmes Centres.

JOINT ENTRANCE TEST FOR B.Ed. - 2008

As authorized by the Punjab Govt. vide notification No. 13/18/08-6Edu.1/9694 dated 17.04.2008 Punjabi University Patiala will hold the State Level Entrance Test for admission to B.Ed. Course for the session 2008-2009 in the Colleges of Education affiliated to Panjab University, Chandigarh; Punjabi University, Patiala; Guru Nanak Dev University, Amirtsar and Lovely Professional University, Phagwara on June 15,2008 (Sunday) at all the district headquarters including Chandigarh and Abohar.

Eligibility : The Test is open to candidates who have secured 45% (40% for SC/ST/BC [Excluding Economically Backward Classes]) marks in the Graduation / Post Graduation from recognized universities. Those who have appeared for the qualifying examination and whose results have not been declared can also appear provisionally.

Availability of Prospectus : Prospectus containing Entrance Test Form and OMR application form will be available for sale w.e.f. 12.05.2008(afternoon) by hand or by post.

1. By Hand : Prospectus will be available on payment of Rs. 850/- (Rs. 400/- in case of SC/ST) in cash from University Enquiry and Information Centre,

2. By Post : On payment of Rs. 910/- (Rs. 460/- for SC/ST) inclusive of postage by sending a Bank Draft drawn in favour of Registrar, Punjabi University Patiala payable at Patiala. The request for prospectus by post should be made to Incharge, Enquiry and Information Centre, Near Main Gate, Punjabi University Patiala. Candidate must write name, telephone number & address at the back of the Bank Draft.

3. University Website : Prospectus, application form and OMR application form can also be downloaded from University website www.punjabiuniversity.ac.in/bed2008.html from 22.05.2008 and should be accompained by a bank draft drawn in favour of Registrar, Punjabi University Patiala for Rs. 850/- (Rs. 400/- in case of SC/ST).
