A Gym for girl students and women employees was inaugurated by the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. R.C. Sobti at 11.30 a.m. in the Jawahar Lal Nehru Multipurpose Sports Complex, Panjab University, Chandigarh. Various machines has been installed in this Fitness Centre such as Nine Station Multi Gym to be used for strength, conditioning of different muscles groups of the body, computerized treadmills to be used for Cardio Vascular fitness, slimming and fat burning, motorized massagers, blood circulation machines for passive muscles and apparatus for the flexibility of the total physique, magnetic bikes and ergo-meters for progressive resistance for building strength of the legs, abdominal trainer board for total abdominal conditioning, bench press free weights of different design to give a total body workout for building total strength of the body.

Vice-Chancellor, Prof. R.C. Sobti said
that exercise relieves tensions and makes one stress free from routine tensions and hassles of daily 1ife. Therefore, this fitness centre will help a long way to the students & the employees who are leading stressful life. In addition to this the Vice- Chancellor advised the girl students and women employees to make use of this facility to its fullest and lead a happy & quality daily life. Further the Vice-Chancellor announced that this hall will be converted into fully Air- conditioned shortly according to Prof. Naval Kishore, University Director of Physical Education.

PIM-MAT 2008

PIM-MAT-2008 to be held on Sunday, 01st June, 2008.
The courses offered for PIM-MAT 2008 are
MBA(CAM),

MBA(E-Com) and
MBA(Executive)
–(for in-service candidate posted at Jaipur). The PIM-MAT-2008 examination consists of written test, group discussion and personal interview. Read the following points carefully before you fill the form and take the exam.

(a) The PIM-MAT application form which you will be filling and mailing to us is a specially designed form. The data recorded on this form would be used subsequently for generation of admit card for the test and the result. Therefore, it should be filled very carefully by you and according to the detailed instructions given in the prospectus.

(b) You must mail all the documents viz. PIM-MAT-2008 application form and admit card (both copies duly filled in) to the Convener, PIM-MAT - 2008.

(c) If short listed for group discussion (GD) and personal interview (PI), you would be required to appear at your own cost. The GD and PI are the essential components of admission process. If you remain absent in GD and/or PI, your candidature will be cancelled. Kindly retain the admit card for GD and PI.

(d) The final merit list would be prepared on the basis of marks obtained in the written test, group discussion and personal interview and would be declared within 3 days after the completion of GD and PI exercise. The merit list will be displayed on the notice board of the Institute.

(e) After GD and PI exercise, you will be required to attend counseling session scheduled on June 23, 2008 at 02.00 p.m., applicable for MBA(CAM) and (E-Com). No counseling session is required for MBA(Executive) course. In the counseling session admission offer for any of the programme would be made on the basis of your position in the final merit list. You would be required to deposit the fee on the spot for the programme for which the admission is offered to you. If you remain absent in the counseling session or do not turn up in time or do not deposit the fee through bank demand draft, your candidature will be cancelled and the candidate next to you in the merit will be offered the seat.

(f) If two or more candidates secure equal marks in total (written test, GD and PI) then their relative merit will be decided on the basis of marks scored in written test. In case, if two or more candidates score equal marks in written test also then the relative merit will be decided on the basis of their percentage of marks obtained in degree examination (B.A., B.Sc., B.Com., B.E. etc.). If that is also equal then one who is born earlier will be given preference.

(g) The fee structure is as follows (subject to revision):
i. MBA (Full Time) E-Commerce and Computer Aided Management Rs. 55,000/- p.a. ( Approximate).
ii. MBA Executive Programme Rs. 29,000/- p.a. (Approximate)
While coming for counseling at your own expense, you must bring bank demand draft of
the above prescribed fee drawn in favour of “Convener, PIM-MAT 2008” payable at
Jaipur. The fee once paid will not be refunded.

Eligibility criteria to appear for written exam for the MBA(Full Time) courses:
Graduates (10+2+3) in any discipline or equivalent from any University recognized by the University of Rajasthan, Jaipur with at least 50% marks without any approximation (for SC/ST /OBC 45%) are eligible to apply.

Provisional approval for appearing in above course would be granted to candidates who have appeared in the final year examinations but their result has not been declared. At the time of counseling the candidate must have appeared for qualifying examination. The last date for submitting the mark sheet of qualifying examination (with the prescribed eligibility) is 31st August, 2008.

(1) A candidate will be required to secure minimum 25% (i.e. 50 marks) for general category and 20% (i.e. 40 marks) for reserve category in the written test to be eligible for GD and PI.

(2) Qualification for MBA Executive programme: All graduates / post graduates from any University recognized by The University of Rajasthan, Jaipur with at least 48% marks or Second division without any approximation (for SC/ST/OBC 43%) & having two years executive experience, after the qualifying examination. Candidate must be placed within the municipal limit of Jaipur.

The candidate is required to enclose with application form (including test fee) a Demand draft of Rs. 1000/- (Rs. One Thousand only) drawn in favour of “Convener, PIM-MAT 2008” payable at Jaipur. The fee will be non refundable. Candidate applying for more than one course will be required to indicate his/her choice and will have to pay additional Rs. 500/- through D.D. at the time of submission of application form.

Applications are invited for admission to MCA 3 Years (6 Semesters) Course (60 Seats) running under Self Financing Scheme in the Institute of Informatics & Instrumentation, University of Rajasthan, Jaipur. MCAAT-2008 will be held on May 24, 2008 during 9.00 AM to 11.00 AM at Jaipur only

Eligibility
The Candidates must possess (10+2) at School level with Mathematics and Graduation (3 years duration) in any Subject from any recognized University or Graduation (10+2+3 years duration) in any Subject with Mathematics as one subject from any recognized University or B.C.A./B.E. from any recognized University with at least 50% marks in aggregate (45% in case of SC/ST and OBC Candidates) without any approximation in the Qualifying Examination. However, the Candidates appearing for the Qualifying Examination (Graduate Degree) will also be permitted to appear in the Admission Test, but their admission will be provisional subject to furnishing the degree of qualifying examination with the prescribed eligibility as per University rules.

General Informations

Before filling Application Form properly, the following salient points must be read carefully:

1. Application Form for Admission can only be downloaded from website http://www.uniraj.ernet.in and is not available through Post or Counter.

2. Application Form for Admission, Admit Card, Summary Sheet etc. should be filled very carefully & neatly by the Candidate himself/herself in his/her own handwriting.

3. Each Candidate is required to paste recent passport size photographs on Application Form, Admit Card and Summary Sheet in the space provided. All the photographs must be similar (of the same shot), signed by him/her and duly attested by the Principal of the College last attended.

4. A Bank Draft of Rs.1000/- Drawn in favour of Director, Institute of Informatics & Instrumentation, University of Rajasthan, Jaipur payable at Jaipur must accompanied with filled Application Form, Admit Card, Summary Sheet.The Examination fee Rs. 1000/- is non-refundable. Application Form without Examination Fee will not be entertained.

5. Duly filled Application Form, Admit Card, Summary sheet, DD and all documents will be accepted by hand or by Registered/Speed Post and should reach to Director, Institute of Informatics & Instrumentation, University of Rajasthan, Jaipur-302055 on or before Tuesday, May 20, 2008 by 4.30 PM (Sharp). Applications received after this date and time shall be summarily rejected.

6. Director, Institute of Informatics & Instrumentation, University of Rajasthan, Jaipur would not be responsible for postal delays in communication in any respect regarding MCAAT-2008.

7. Ensure that you have completed the Application Form, Admit Card and Summary Sheet in all respect. Incomplete Application Forms in any respect shall be liable to be rejected without any notice and no correspondence in this regard would be entertained.

8. You are required to enclose attested photocopies of the following documents:
a) Board of Secondary Education Examination : Marks Sheet & Certificate,
b) Board of Sr. Secondary Examination : Marks Sheet & Certificate,
c) Qualifying Examination : Marks Sheets of Pt I, II, III and Degree/Professional Degree.
d) Caste Certificate for SC/ST/OBC Category, if applicable. Candidates belonging to SC, ST and OBC Category will be required to produce a certificate to that effect from a District Magistrate / Tehsildar / Sub-Divisional Magistrate, without which their cases will not be considered under the provision O.81-II, and as per directions of the State Government.
e) P.H. Certificate, if applicable. Candidates belonging to PH Category will be required to produce a certificate in original from the Principal, S.M.S. Medical College, Jaipur/Director, Rehabilitation Research Centre/Head of the Department concerned of S.M.S. Medical College, Jaipur.
f) Kashmiri migrant Certificate, if applicable. Candidates belonging to Kashmiri migrant Category will be required to produce a certificate issued by Competent Authority.

9. The Jurisdiction of the Court cases will be at Jaipur only.
