PAT/ PHT/ PUT Joint Entrance Test 2008

Eligibility:-

A candidate must fulfill the following conditions for admission;

(a) A candidate must be a citizen of India.

(b) Candidate must have passed Senior Higher Secondary (12th Standard) with Science-Biology from Board of Secondary Education, Rajasthan or recognized Board equivalent thereto. Candidates appearing at the 12 examination may also appear in the test. Candidate must have secured aggregate 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology in 12th standard for admission in Ayurved & Unani but 50% aggregate marks in P.C.B. is not required for Homoeopathy and as per norms prescribed by AYUSH from time to time.

(c) Must have completed 17 years of age on or before 31st December of that year.

(d) Wherever necessary, a candidate belonging to Rajasthan shall be one who fulfills any one of the following conditions.

(i) The candidate must have studied for last three years of the qualifying examination continuously as a regular candidate in a recognized institution in Rajasthan.

OR

(ii) Natural Father/Mother of the candidate has continuously resided in Rajasthan for a period of last 10 years and the candidate has studied for atleast 5 years during this period in a recognized educational Institution in Rajasthan.

OR

(iii) The Candidate is a Son/Daughter of serving or retired employee of (a) Govt. of Rajasthan including officer of All India Service born on the State cadre of Rajasthan or (b) Undertaking/ Autonomous Body/ Corporations/ Improvement Trust/ Municipal Bodies duly constituted by Govt. of Rajasthan by an Act of Law or by Government of India in Rajasthan or (c) any of the University in Rajasthan or Secondary Board of education, Rajasthan, provided that employee has put in at least three years of service before the year of the admission.

OR

(iv) The candidate is a bonafide resident of Rajasthan.

(e) For admission in Unani colleges, the candidate must fulfill above conditions and must have passed Urdu as additional subject in secondary standard or must have passed the Adib, Adib-e-Mahir or Adib-e-Kamil examination conducted by Jamia Urdu, Aligarh.

(f) The Candidate is required to undergo medical examination before he/she is allowed to join a college after counselling, if the concerned college deems it necessary.


How To Apply:

Application forms downloaded from our website, can be deposited by enclosing a Demand Draft of Rs.900/- (For the general & OBC candidates) and of Rs.450/- (For the SC/ST candidates). The DD must be drawn in the name of “Registrar, Rajasthan Ayurved University, Jodhpur” otherwise the form is liable to be rejected.

Important Date:

The application form completed in all respects must be reach in the office of the Registrar, Rajasthan Ayurved University, Jodhpur latest by 5.00 pm on 10th May, 2008 through Speed/ Registered Post. The application received after the due date and time or incomplete forms will not be considered and are liable to be rejected.

Admission in MTech & PhD Programme July 2008

The Institute invites applications for admission to its Masters (MTech, MDes) and Doctoral (PhD) programmes for the session commencing from July 2008 as per the following details:

Eligibility for Admission

(1) MTech:

Computer Science & Engineering(CSE): B Tech/ BE in any engineering discipline OR M Sc in Mathematics, Statistics or a similar discipline OR MCA with (a) minimum marks/CPI in Qualifying Degree and (b) valid GATE score in Computer Science and Engineering/Information Technology/Mathematics/Engineering Sciences (compulsorily with Sections Computational Science and Electrical Science).

Electronics & Communication Engineering(ECE): B Tech/ BE in Electronics/ Electronics and Communication Engineering/ Electrical Engineering/ Electrical and Electronics Engineering/ Instrumentation Engineering or a similar discipline OR M Sc in Electronics/ Electronics Science/ Physics/ Mathematics or a similar discipline with (a) minimum marks/CPI in Qualifying Degree and (b) valid GATE score in Electronics and Communication Engineering/Electrical Engineering/Instrumentation Engineering/Physics.

Mechanical Engineering(ME): B Tech / BE in Mechanical Engineering/ Aeronautical Engineering/ Automobile Engineering / Production Engineering/ Industrial Engineering/ Production and Industrial Engineering / Metallurgical Engineering/ Manufacturing Science and Engineering/ Energy Engineering or a similar discipline with (a) minimum marks/CPI in Qualifying Degree and (b) valid GATE score in Mechanical Engineering/Production and Industrial Engineering /Metallurgical Engineering/Engineering Sciences (compulsorily with any two of the sections Fluid Mechanics, Materials Science, Solid Mechanics or Thermodynamics).

(2) MDes:

B.Tech/B.E./B.Arch./B.Des./BFA/M.Sc./M.A./MCA with (a) minimum marks/CPI in Qualifying Degree and (b) valid score in CEED examination Minimum marks/CPI in Qualifying Degree: 55% marks / 5.5 CPI (on a 10-point scale) as long as it is at least seven percent higher than the minimum pass marks /CPI for General Category applicants and minimum passing marks for SC/ST applicants. GATE /CEED score requirement is waived for sponsored candidates.

(3) PhD:

Computer Science & Engineering(CSE): M Tech/ ME in Computer Science & Engineering or Information Technology or a similar discipline with minimum marks/ CPI in Qualifying Degree.

Electronics & Communication Engineering(ECE): M Tech/ ME in Electronics/ Electronics & Communication Engineering/ Electrical Engineering or a similar discipline with minimum marks/ CPI in Qualifying Degree.

Mechanical Engineering(ME): M Tech/ ME in Mechanical Engineering/Production Engineering/Industrial Engineering/Production and Industrial Engineering or a similar discipline with minimum marks/ CPI in Qualifying Degree.
Minimum % of marks in Qualifying Degree: 55% marks or CPI of 5.5 (on a 10-point scale) for General Category applicants and Pass Percentage marks for SC/ST applicants.

General information:
(i) Reserved seats will be filled as per Govt. of India rules,
(ii) Institute Assistantship will be provided as per Govt. of India rules.
