ADMISSION NOTICE 2008 (M.Tech / Diploma Course)
ADMISSION TO M. TECH (EDT) AND DEPM PROGRAMMES 2008
(1) MASTER OF TECHNOLOGY IN ELECTRONICS DESIGN AND TECHNOLOGY [M.Tech (EDT)]
Eligibility
a) B.E. / B. Tech / B.Sc (Engineering) Degree or equivalent in Electronics / Electrical / Telecommunication / Computers / Instrumentation engineering from a recognized University with at least 55% of marks (relaxable to 50% for candidates belonging to SC / ST category). A candidate with BE / B Tech in Mechanical / Production / Industrial Engineering with exceptional aptitude and knowledge in electronics may also be considered. Those, who have appeared for engineering graduate degree and awaiting results before 30th June, 2008 are also eligible to apply.
b) The candidate should have passed the GATE examination with minimum score of 80 percentile. OR The candidate should have been serving in Academic Institution / Industry / R&D organization engaged in electronic product or system development for at least two years and should be sponsored by the employer. He should produce necessary sponsorship certificate alongwith application in the prescribed form. OR Foreign nationals having equivalent degree of a recognised university. Admission of foreign nationals is subjected to the guidelines laid down by Government of India from time to time. Foreign nationals should apply through proper channel.
c) Non – GATE candidate may also apply but their application will be considered only if GATE candidates are not available and the seats are vacant.
(2) DIPLOMA IN ELECTRONICS PRODUCTION AND MAINTENANCE (DEPM)
Eligibility
Xth standard passed from a recognized Board with a minimum average score of 50% (relaxable to 45% for candidates belonging to SC/ST category only) in Mathematics and Science subjects. Those who have appeared for the Xth standard examination and awaiting results before June 30, 2008 are also eligible to apply.
Age Limit
The candidate’s age should not be less than 15 years and more than 19 years as on July 01, 2008. The relaxation in upper age limit is two (2) years for SC &
ST candidates and five (5) years for person with Disabilities (PD), candidates.
Selection:
Selection of candidates for M.Tech & DEPM will be based on a written entrance test followed by personal interview. The entrance test and interview for M.Tech and DEPM will be conducted in the month of July/August 2008
Reservation:
Certain No. of Seats are reserved for SC, ST, OBC, PD categories as per Govt. Rules/AICTE approval. Financial Support /(Reimbursement of Scholarship/Freeship tuition Fee Exception etc. from State / central Govt. is available for SC/ST candidates as per Government rules.
How To Apply:
Cost of the Prospectus cum Application form for DEPM is Rs. 300/- (Rs. 200 for SC/ST/PD candidates) and for M.Tech (EDT) is Rs. 500/- (Rs. 300/- for SC/ST/PD candidates). Prospectus cum Application form can be obtained in person from "Admn Section, DOEACC Centre, Aurangabad (MS), during the working hours or through post by sending self addressed envelope of size 15 * 23 sq. cm. with postal stamp of Rs. 50/- Demand Draft for application shall be any Nationalised bank drawn in favour of Director, DOEACC Centre Aurangabad payable at Aurangabad (MS). In case of application form downloaded from website, the demand draft of the said amount as applicable must be enclosed alongwith filled in application. Candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC/PD Category must substantiate their claim by enclosing proof of the same.
Submission of Forms:
The filled in application form alongwith relevant documents should reach the Centre on the address mentioned above in due date. Incomplete and late received application forms will not considered. DOEACC Centre, Aurangabad will not be responsible for any postal delay. The decision of the Director , DOEACC Centre, Aurangabad is respect of selection and closing of admission will be final. Canvassing in any form will lead to disqualification. Candidates will appear for entrance test or Interview at their own expenses.
