B.Sc. (Major) in Software Systems & B.Sc. (Major) in Information Technology

Eligibility

Pass in (10+2) standard examination or its equivalent conducted by any recognized Board of Education in the country in any stream including candidates passed out from the institutions recognized by West Bengal Council of Vocational Education and Training.

Graduates in any discipline from NBU or any other University recognized by the UGC are also eligible. Such candidates shall be required to submit Migration Certificates at the time of admission, in case they are graduates from a University other than the NBU.

Graduates of those Courses are eligible for appointment as Teachers of Schools through the School Service Commission.

Admission

Application Forms duly filled up together with all testimonials in original and one attested copy of each are to be submitted at any of these places :

(i) Office of the Registrar, University of North Bengal at the Raja Rammohunpur Campus
(ii) Kolkata Office of NBU [S-2/1, Flat No. 1, Sector-III, Block-FC Shraboni Abason, Salt Lake, Kolkota-700091, Tel. 033-23371836].
(iii) Authorised Study Centres (Zed CA) and
(iv) Zee Interactive Learning Systems Ltd., 8, Ho Chi Minh sarani, Harrington Mension, Flat No. 7, 3rd Floor, Kolkata - 700 071. The documents will be scrutinized by the University and, if found satisfactory, will be accepted for admission provided the prescribed fees are deposited immediately. Original testimonials will be returned after verification.

The notification for enrolment/admission is likely to be issued in May, 2008. Admission will continue till July 31, 2008. Classes at the Study Centres are to start from August, 2008.

** Those appeared in the H.S. or other (10+2) examinations are also eligible to be admitted. Such admission will be given provisionally to the selected students on scrutiny of relevant documents and payment of prescribed fees. The mark-sheet for the (10+2) examination will have to be produced immediately on receipt of result whereupon the provisional admission will be confirmed. Students enrolled provisionally but failed in the (10+2) examination will suffer cancellation of admission but the fees will be refunded except the processing fee of Rs. 100. If any student opts to withdraw on receipt of result of pass in the (10+2) examination, he/she may be allowed to do so, but claim for refund of fees already paid shall not be entertained. The authority reserves the right to secure an undertaking in this respect at the time of provisional admission.
